Horse Comments:
#4 Seahorse Stampede (5-2) graduated in a local flat mile turf race in March and landed the place in four of his seven turf starts since. He missed by a head in April and August, and fell a neck short as my top choice Dec. 1. He earned a decent number last time and will try to get involved from off the pace.
#1 Jacked Up (5-1) landed the show in his last two dirt sprints. Dam has produced a turf winner and he might move up in his second start off a layoff. Ryan Kenney is 5-for-8 at TUP and Karlo Lopez stays put and he is a profitable 4-for-6 with this outfit.
#7 Moneyline (7-2) is 1-for-16 with seven minor awards. He hit the board in his last five starts and is back on turf after landing the show in the slop at RP Nov. 20. He was second or third in his last four turf starts.
#3 Baie Longue (9-2) finished third in a dirt sprint at EMD in August and the top two finishers were next-out winners. The 1-for-18 gelding stretched back out, returned to turf, and set a fast pace and weakened to fourth Dec. 1 (Seahorse Stampede 2nd). He removes blinkers and has won on turf before.
#2 Ario (6-1) exits a local $10k/2L turf win at one mile and the runner-up was a next-out winner. His new trainer M. L. Pierce is 22% first after the claim and his winning rider Daniel Vergara stays out. He is the only 2-time winner in this field and he is entered for the $15k tag.
