#8 Artisma (5-2) stalked and scored in her 6.5f bow (November 2024), and she stalked from the outside post and missed by a head in the Santa Ynez at 7f second time out. She added lasix and dueled and held the place in her allowance return at CD June 2025, and she pressed from an outer post before fading to 7th of 8 as a 50-1 outsider in the G1 Test (August 2025). She went back on lasix and returned to SoCal in her third start off a long layoff on Sept. 5, and she landed the place as my top choice behind sharp winner Usha. She was second best as the beaten favorite in October and missed by a neck in November. She added blinkers and lost lasix in the G1 La Brea on Dec. 28 and pressed and weakened to 8th of 10 (beaten 15 lengths). Blinkers come off and she goes back on lasix, and she breaks from the comfortable outside post and her tactical speed should lead to a good trip.
#5 Lovin’ On the Run (4-1) won five of her last eight starts including back-to-back tallies on Dec. 14 (LRC – 6.5f dirt) and Jan. 9 (SA – 6T). Tamayo claimed her for $25k last time and she is back on dirt and she romped by 9 lengths under Edwin Maldonado in a dirt sprint late last year.
