#3 Herecomesgeorgieboy (9-2) split an 8-horse field in a local $8k route Jan. 24. He has won at Turf Paradise before and is 4-for-7 at one mile. A stalking trip is expected and the drop might do the trick.
#5 Enos Slaughter (3-1) switched surfaces, dropped in class, stalked the pace, and scored by a length and a quarter in a similar local flat mile event Feb. 2. The 9-year-old gelding is a logical contender if able to run two alike.
#4 Saqeel (4-1) rallied for the place in his last two local attempts at one mile. The 8-year-old gelding is 0-for-16 with seven minor awards at this distance and he can rally for a share for the productive Mojica/Diodoro team.
#10 Silver Dash (5-1) stretched back out, set the pace, and settled for the place behind Enos Slaughter Feb. 2. The 2-time local winner is 0-for-10 with seven underneath finishes at this distance. He should impact the pace from the outside post.
