Horse Comments:
#1 Muffin Music (5-2) dropped from MSW to Mcl-50k, removed blinkers, switched to dirt, and graduated by 2 1/2 lengths at Keeneland last fall (runner-up next-out winner). She was the favorite in a local all-weather sprint Jan. 30 and finished an even fourth. She is back on dirt and figures to chase the pace from the inside post.
#4 Jestina (5-1) was the favorite in both dirt sprints. She dueled and was best of the rest in third in her local state bred MSW debut, and she stalked the pace from an outer post and beat a next-out winner second time out Jan. 4. Saffie Joseph, Jr. has good stats with his recent grads trying winners for the first time and her winning rider Micah Husbands figures to put her in a stalking spot at playable odds.
#2 Sweet Ember (2-1) fired in both all-weather sprints. She chased the pace and was second best in her November 2025 bow, and she made the lead and earned her diploma by 1 3/4 lengths as the favorite Jan. 15 (MOC-50k, first lasix).
