Check out my Monday (3-23-26) Turf Paradise Race 8 analysis below.

TUP 8 (Alw-21k, 4&up, 8f dirt) – Post Time  7:48 PM ET
Primary – #7 CORNISHMAN, #5 Gatlinburg
Secondary – #9 Moneyshot, #6 Coastal Kid

Horse Comments:

#7 Cornishman (3-1) landed the place as the favorite in his last two flat mile dirt starts including a clear runner-up finish at this oval March 9. Mr. Who controlled the pace through below par splits last time and this one did well to land the place as the 1-2 favorite. He has struck twice at this course and distance and can win this if he gets more pace help.

#5 Gatlinburg (6-1) moved to the Kevin Eikleberry barn and won a local optional-claiming turf route as the favorite late last year, and he was up the track in a turf route stakes race Feb. 11. He handles the main track and his barn is 23% turf/dirt, and his new rider Frank Alvarado is 3-for-12 with this barn.

#9 Moneyshot (4-1) completed the exacta in his last four starts. The versatile gelding earned a competitive number last time and he can compete with these if he works out a trip from the outside post.

#6 Coastal Kid (7-2) stalked the pace and missed by a neck in a local dirt sprint late last year, and he battled on the pace and captured his last two local outings at one mile. The sharp 8-year-old gelding should make his presence felt from the outset.
