DMR 9 (Shared Belief, 8f) #2 Medina Spirit (7-5) makes his first start since setting a fast pace and finishing a clear 3rd in the Preakness (G1). He wired the field in two graded routes this year including the Kentucky Derby (G1), and he fired a strong local bullet for this Aug. 23. His winning rider Johnny V comes out to ride and he will probably be tough to overhaul if he is able to make a clear early lead. This horse has a real fighting spirit and will no go down easily.
