Check out my Sunday (6-16-24) Santa Anita Park Race 4 analysis below.

SA 4 (Cinema, 9T) – Post Time 5:05pm EDT
Primary – #5 BRITISH ISLES, #2 Final Boss
Secondary – #3 Blue Eyed George, #1 Gold Foot

Horse Comments:

#5 British Isles (5-2) moved to the Richard Baltas barn and put blinkers back on in his last pair. He was clearly second best at 21-1 at one mile on April 7, and stalked and graduated from an outer post at 1 1/8 miles on May 4. Antonio Fresu is his new pilot and he right with these on numbers.

#2 Final Boss (8-5) added blinkers, stretched out three furlongs, and smartly wired the field on May 12. He should have no problem clearing these early and could go all the way again under Juan Hernandez.

#3 Blue Eyed George (5-2) won two turf routes last year, placed in a trio of stakes starts this year, and exits an up the track finish in the Grade 2 American Turf. I can find excuses for his last start. He raced wide from post 14 and the course was less than firm, and he was a 42-1 longshot. Umberto Rispoli is 4-for-12 with Michael McCarthy recently.

#1 Gold Foot (3-1) is up in class after back-to-back turf wins at this distance. He should save ground stalking the pace for the productive Kyle Frey/Sean McCarthy team.

Wagers:
