Check out my Friday (7-5-24) Prairie Meadows Race 9 analysis below.

PRM 9 (Iowa Distaff, f&m, 1 1/16 miles) – Post Time 10:37pm EDT
Primary – #4 LACIE B GOOD
Secondary – #3 Magical Lute, #6 Take Me Serious

Horse Comments:

#4 Lacie B Good (7-2) had her 5-race win streak snapped when finishing up the track in the DuPont Stakes at Pimlico on May 17. Shotgun Hottie won that race and returned to finish second in the Fleur de Lis (G1), and clear runner-up Musical Mischief scored as the favorite in an optional-claiming race at Churchill on June 30. The versatile Good Magic filly shows five Keeneland works for this and could easily bounce back with a win.

#3 Magical Lute (5-2) finished up the track at high odds in a pair of Grade 3 attempts this year. Her other two starts in 2024 were solid. She was third in the Wayward Lass and first in an optional-claiming route. The closing filly fits with these on her best day.

#6 Take Me Serious (4-1) has not finished out of the trifecta since October 2021. She missed all of 2023 and sports a pair of Oklahoma-bred stakes wins this year. Her sprint speed ratings were solid earlier this year, but her numbers dipped in her last two routes.
