#9 Recycle (4-1) turned back and scored from the rail in a local state bred allowance affair on June 12. He made a mild bid before fading to last at 5-2 odds in a similar local sprint on July 2. His winning rider Walter Alencar sticks and he is a profitable 36% with John Fennessy.
#10 Tony Small (8-1) is 3-for-4 with a neck defeat in his last four local starts at this distance. The razor sharp 8-year-old gelding earned a quality late pace rating in a a last-to-first victory by a head vs. $15k claimers as the chalk on June 24. The class riser deserves a shot in this allowance event and he will try to get involved from off the pace from the outside post.
