Check out my Tuesday (1-21-25) Turf Paradise Race 4 analysis below.
TUP 4 (OC-15k/2x, 3&up, 8f dirt) – Post Time 3:55 PM ET
Primary – #9 RHODESIA, #4 Maximum Capacity
Secondary – #8 Bert’s Prospect, #10 Sanger, #3 Run Bryce Run
Horse Comments:
#9 Rhodesia (8-1) stalked the pace and landed the place in a local claiming dirt sprint Jan. 13 (best last race number), and Charles Essex claimed him that day. He hit the board in 3 of 4 starts at this distance and will probably stalk the pace under his new rider Alex Cruz.
#4 Maximum Capacity (6-1) ships in from NoCal and he has the speed to succeed. He set the pace and missed by a head Oct. 26, and dueled and scored Nov. 29. Last time, battled on the pace and split a 10-horse field as the beaten favorite Dec. 18. He might be the target under Guillermo Rodriguez.
#8 Bert’s Prospect (3-1) moved to dirt and stalked, led, and was best of the rest in third in a $16k/2L event at DMR Nov. 9. He shows up in a new barn and fits with these if he runs the same race he did last time.
#10 Sanger (4-1) moved to this circuit and set the pace and settled for the place as the beaten favorite on turf Nov. 21. He has won on dirt before and figures to impact the pace from the outside post.
#3 Run Bryce Run (3-1) switches surfaces for the productive Mojica/Diodoro team. The 1-for-13 late runner fired trifecta shots in his last five turf starts.
