Secondary – #11 Memorized, #11 Nickel Saver, #1 Sadie Earp
Horse Comments:
#4 Sister Trioenne (9-2) was best of the rest in third in her dirt sprint bow, and she earned a strong late pace rating in her turf route maiden win second time out. Brian Lynch has good stats with his recent grads trying winners for the first time and she earned the best last-race number on Sept. 20.
#10 Screen Test (6-1) split a 10-horse field from the outside post in her turf sprint bow, and she ran much better in a sharp victory at 8T second time out. Graham Motion’s highly regarded filly was the favorite in both outings and she could easily take this under Jose Ortiz.
#11 Memorized (3-1) was the favorite in her dirt sprint bow and she stalked the pace, made a middle move, and faded to 4th of 7 (beaten 16 lengths). The 2-3 finishers were next-out winners, and this filly moved to turf and rallied to break her maiden by a length and a half as the chalk last time. Chad Brown’s $900k Tapit filly gets the services of Irad Ortiz, Jr., and she is capable of moving forward again.
#6 Nickel Saver (6-1) ran well in both turf routes at CNL. She rallied from far back to land the place in her bow, and she struck from off the pace as the even money favorite second time out. She ran faster last time for Ken McPeek.
#1 Sadie Earp (4-1) improved her speed ratings in all three turf sprints. She easily went all the way at 6.5T at KD on Sept. 6 and is probably the one to catch under her new rider Tyler Gaffalione.
