Check out my Thursday (12-4-25) Aqueduct Race 7 analysis below.
AQU 7 (OC-45k, NY-bred 3&up, 8f dirt) – Post Time 3:35 PM ET
Primary – #2 PALACE BOSS, #10 Chief Liam
Secondary – #5 Russian Realm, #1 Cut the Cord, #3 Wynstock
Horse Comments:
#2 Palace Boss (5-1) had his 6-race trifecta streak snapped when finishing 7th of 8 as the beaten favorite in a similar course/distance race Oct. 11 (show finisher next-out winner). He has been freshened for this and figures to save ground stalking the pace.
#10 Chief Liam (10-1) is 2-for-2 at one mile including a local wire job vs. NY-bred allowance foes Oct. 5. Ken McPeek’s $380k Violence colt should make his presence felt from the outset. He might get brave if able to shake loose early.
#5 Russian Realm (7-2) does some of his best work at one mile (5 2-2-0) and both of his wins were at Aqueduct. He reunites with Flavien Prat and will try to get involved from off the pace.
#1 Cut the Cord (4-1) exits a show finish vs. this kind and Robert Falcone, Jr. claimed him that day. He was part of the trifecta in seven of his last nine starts and he won three of those races. The 3-time flat mile winner is 1-for-14 at AQU.
#3 Wynstock (5-1) beat this kind in the slop in June and Fernando Abreu claimed him that day, and he is 0-for-5 with a runner-up finish since. He fits with these but this race might not set up for the late runner.
