Check out my Saturday (4-20-24) Race 8 analysis at Keeneland below.

KEE 8 (G2 Elkhorn, 4&up, 12T)
Primary – #4 BOLD ACT
Secondary – #10 Missed the Cut, #11 Silver Knott, #1 The Grey Wizard

Horse Comments:

#4 Bold Act (3-2) rallied to win the Grade 3 Sycamore as the favorite at Keeneland last fall, and exits a victory in the Dubai City of Gold (G2) on March 2. Frankie Dettori hops aboard Charles Appleby’s gelding, and he could easily win again. His Godolphin stablemate #11 Silver Knott (8-1) is probably in here to set the pace. He hit the board in four of five graded routes on turf as a sophomore last year. Flavien Prat is his new rider.

#10 Missed the Cut (4-1) is a sharp California shipper for John Sadler. He exits back-to-back Grade 3 victories and projects a stalking trip under Irad Ortiz Jr.

#1 The Grey Wizard (15-1) has not been seen since finishing up the track in the Bowling Green (G2) at Saratoga last summer. He ran well in all three starts at a mile and a half on turf including a local allowance victory last spring. He runs well fresh and will try to make an impact in the lane under Luis Saez.
