Check out my Wednesday (3-12-25) Gulfstream Park Race 8 analysis below.
GP 8 (OC-62.5k/2x, F&M, 6 1/2 furlongs dirt) – Post Time 4:34 PM ET
Primary – #1 VINCEY GIRL, #4 Done Enough
Secondary – #6 Miss Enchanted
Horse Comments:
#1 Vincey Girl (5-2) won back-to-back local dirt sprints as the favorite last July and August. She split a 10-horse field from the outside post in the Charles Town Oaks (G2) at 56-1 odds, and had a troubled start and finished 7th of 11 in the Weather Vane at Laurel when last seen September 2024 (winner and show finisher next-out winners). Wednesday’s rider Miguel Vazquez is 2-for-2 with her and she figures to save ground behind the speed.
#4 Done Enough (3-1) was part of the trifecta in all five local starts. She exits a local extended sprint tally and should make her presence felt from the outset. She owns the best pace ratings and this is a speed friendly distance.
#6 Miss Enchanted (2-1) stalked and scored in a pair of dirt sprints last year. This is her first start since November and she reconnects with her winning rider Junior Alvarado. An outside stalking trip is expected and Dale Romans is enjoying a productive meet.
