#8 September Magic (5-2) ran well in her last three turf sprints at SA. She has tactical speed and fired a local 4f bullet July 18. She drilled a similar 4f bullet at SA on March 26 and won at 6T on April 4. That March bullet was 9-days before she won and she is repeating that pattern today. Kazushi Kimura is 2-for-7 with +ROI turf trainer Ryan Hanson.
#5 Invincible Molly (2-1) misfired in both local 8T attempts but sprinting on turf is another story. In nine turf sprints, she sports three wins, a runner-up finish, and two show finishes. She turned back and rallied for the place in her 6T return May 3. This is her third start of the year and her winning rider Hector Berrios keeps the faith.
#4 Tam’s Little Angel (3-1) rallied for the show in an okay effort at 6T June 6. She won two straight turf sprints at SA earlier this year. Antonio Fresu sticks with the fresh mare and she will probably stalk the pace at this abbreviated distance.
#1 Needlepoint (6-1) is an optional-claiming dropper and she turns back and gets the services of Umberto Rispoli. She won her turf sprint bow in France in 2023.
