Horse Comments:
#5 Stay Sassy (5-2) won two races at EMD this year including the Emerald Distaff, and she exits a show finish in a dirt route stakes at that same venue. She won at this distance in July and this is her first local attempt.
#4 Sayucan (8-5) is 5-for-10 overall and she has won three races at Turf Paradise including the Princess of Palms in February. She dueled and prevailed by 3/4ths of a length as the favorite in a Prairie Meadows dirt sprint Sept. 6.
#6 Raven’s Quest (8-1) is a reliable mare exiting a string of good efforts at Canterbury. She has not finished out of the trifecta since February (9 straight Top 3 finishes). She seems like a good underneath key.
#3 Big Pop (7-2) started her career with a stalk/pounce score in a 6f sprint (February 2024). She landed the show in her next two starts, and picked up her second win at 6f March 23. She was unplaced in her last two starts in May, and she was 5th of 6 at DMR Aug. 8. She moved to the Robertino Diodoro barn and was 6th of 11 at CD Sept. 13, and she got back on the beam in an off the turf win at 5f Oct. 18.
#1 Diamante Elegante (6-1) exits back-to-back wins at Arapahoe and she went all the way in those victories. She has won at Turf Paradise before and figures to impact the pace from the inside post.
