#10 Comedy Town (5-1) is now conditioned by Jeff Mullins and Hector Berrios wins races with this outfit. The 7-time winner exits a runner-up finish in a similar local sprint and he captured the Benny the Bull at this trip last year. He is entered for the $50k tag.
#1 Speedy Wilson (6-1) is back on dirt and he is 2-for-2 at seven panels. His two wins at this trip were at DMR vs. state bred stakes foes.
#4 Ghazaaly (8-1) dropped into a $40k claimer and was clearly second best Aug. 8 and Doug O’Neill claimed him that day. He was up the track when last seen in a turf route Aug. 22. He is back on dirt and this is his first start as a gelding, and he turns back and his new rider Mirco Demuro is 4-for-10 with this outfit.
#8 Mescalero (8-1) pressed and scored as the favorite in his turf sprint bow. He stretched out, chased wide from the outside post, and weakened to 6th of 7 in the Let It Ride at 8T second time out. He turns back, switches surfaces, and goes back on lasix.
