Check out my Wednesday (12-24-25) Gulfstream Park Race 8 analysis below.
GP 8 (OC-62.5k, 6f dirt) – Post Time 3:50 PM ET
Primary – #1 AMERICAN MONARCH, #4 Souper Quest
Secondary – #3 Pure Class, #2 Neshume
Horse Comments:
#1 American Monarch (5-2) was off the board in his last five turf sprints. He is 3-for-8 with a trio of runner-up finishes on fast dirt and Bill Mott’s runner reunites with recently hot rider Junior Alvarado.
#4 Souper Quest (2-1) moved to the main track and set the pace and weakened to 3rd of 5 at this course and distance Nov. 14. He reconnects with his winning rider Irad Ortiz, Jr. and he will probably set the pace.
#3 Pure Class (7-2) was off the board at Tampa Bay last time and he is entered for the $62.5k tag. He has a good overall record at Gulfstream (15 5-3-3) and his new pilot Tyler Gaffalione will probably have him in a nice tactical spot behind the speed.
#2 Neshume (5-1) finished up the track in an all-weather sprint on Nov. 22. The sophomore colt finished in the top three in all four sprints on fast dirt and he reunites with his winning rider Edgard Zayas.
