Check out my Friday (1-9-26) Santa Anita Park Race 9 analysis below.

SA 9 (OC-50k/1x, 8f) – Post Time 7:00 PM ET
Primary – #5 NAFISA, #4 Scary Fast Ride
Secondary – #6 Lolo Le Plume, #2 Time to Shine

Horse Comments:

#5 Nafisa (5-2) finally picked up her first career win in her thirteenth start Nov. 23 and the show finisher was a next-out winner. She stretches back out for Bob Baffert and might be the target under her winning rider Kazushi Kimura.

#4 Scary Fast Ride (3-1) set a pressured pace from the inside post and finished 4th of 5 (beaten 3/4th of a length) in a similar flat mile dirt race at DMR Nov. 9. She removes blinkers and ran well in all six local starts (6 3-1-2).

#6 Lolo Le Plume (2-1) raced wide and came again to miss by a neck in the same DMR race Scary Fast Ride exits. Umberto Rispoli sticks with the 1-for-14 filly and she settled for minor awards in half of her starts.

#2 Time to Shine (8-1) switches surfaces in her third start off a layoff and Mark Glatt is a profitable 23% with his turf/dirt starters. She raced on dirt once and she won that MOC-62.5k affair at this course/distance June 2025.

Wagers:
