#7 All American Rod (3-1) was claimed by Jamie Ness Feb. 17 and he struck for his new conditioner in the local mud March 16. He came back two weeks later and battled on the pace and was clearly second best behind a runaway winner in a 4-horse field at this course/distance March 30. His new apprentice pilot Yedsit Hazlewood is 30% with this outfit.
#1 Chance (10-1) romped by 17 lengths at 30 cents on the dollar in a local claiming $16k/4L affair at one mile March 18 and the 2-3 finishers were next-out winners. He was claimed that day and cut back in distance and was best of the rest in third at 6.5f April 15 (Lucky Dude 2nd). He is back at his winning distance and Michael Catalano, Jr. is 26% with horses making their second start after the claim.
#6 Lucky Dude (5-2) was part of the trifecta in nine of his last ten starts. He returned from AQU and landed the place in a local 6.5f affair April 15. He is 0-for-5 with zero top three finishes at one mile.
