#7 U Devil You (7-2) earned quality numbers in his last pair. He chased from second, led, and ended up a close 4th of 7 at one mile around two turns at OP Feb. 28 and the runner-up was a next-out winner. This one cuts back to seven panels and pressed from the outside post and scored at KEE April 4. He has won at CD before and should be forwardly placed under his new rider Johnny V.
#6 Echo Again (9-2) set the pace and was second best to Publisher in the American Pharoah at 1 1/16 miles March 28. The 2-time local winner cuts back in distance and has run fast enough to compete with these. He reconnects with Junior Alvarado and I like his running style versatility.
#1 This Is Uscar (8-1) landed the show when last seen in the Cherokee Mile November 2025. The new gelding goes back on lasix and drilled a local bullet for this April 6, and he reunites with his winning rider Edgar Morales.
#5 Owen Almighty (5-1) is 3-for-11 overall and has been on a steady stakes diet since winning his local debut in 2024. He was the beaten favorite from the outside post in the Army Mule at seven panels March 28 and that was his first start in more than five months. He adds lasix and shows two local works for this.
