Horse Comments:
#2 Hang the Moon (8-1) moved to the Saffie Joseph, Jr. barn and rediscovered her top form in her last pair at GP. She unleashed a big late run and missed by a neck in the Sand Springs in March and earned a quality late pace rating. She won the G2 John C. Mabee and local G2 Rodeo Drive in 2024 so the back class is there. Flavien Prat takes the call and I doubt the generous morning line holds up.
#6 Vronti (4-1) is an up and coming sort for Graham Motion. She won a MSW turf route at TAM in February and an allowance turf route at KEE in April. Juan Hernandez takes the call and she is getting faster.
#5 Thought Process (7-5) won six of her last eight starts and she is 3-for-3 at SA. The 3-time graded turf route winner should be right up on the pace under Hector Berrios. The flat mile specialist finished third in her lone try at 9T in the G1 Del Mar Oaks last summer, ands she returned from a long layoff and won the G2 Buena Vista at 8T Feb. 28.
#8 May Day Ready (6-1) moved to the Richard Mandella barn and rallied to miss by a half-length in the G3 Royal Heroine April 25. She drilled a 5f bullet for this May 14 and Antonio Fresu got to know her last time. She is one of several milers trying to have success at this longer trip.
#7 Rashmi (9-2) stole the G3 Wilshire on the front end March 28 and that was her first start in almost a year. Thought Process will probably keep her company up front and she is a miler.
