Check out my Friday (6-5-26) Saratoga Race 11 analysis below.

SAR 11 (G1 New York, 9.5f) – Post Time 5:46 PM ET
Primary – #1 PORTFOLIO DURATION, #8 Kathynmarissa
Secondary – #7 City Girl, #9 Gezora

Horse Comments:

#1 Portfolio Duration (9-2) was the favorite in all three starts. She rallied to miss by a neck under Saturday’s rider Flavien Prat in her 8.5T bow February 2025 (show finisher next-out winner). She stalked and graduated by 5+ lengths from the outside post at 20 cents on the dollar second time out (December 2025), and she stalked and scored by 4+ lengths at 40 cents on the dollar at 8T March 28. Last time in the G2 Distaff Turf Mile, eventual winner Classic Q prompted the gate and got the jump on her, and she ended up missing by a neck as the favorite. You could easily make an argument that she was best last time. The added ground of this race might make all the difference.

#8 Kathynmarissa (5-2) moved to the Chad Brown barn and was strong in a 9T OC win at SAR August 2025 (runner-up next-out winner). She returned from a long layoff and beat her highly regarded stablemate Gezora on the square in the G3 Modesty at 9T May 1. Jose Ortiz gave her a smart ride last time and I like her running style versatility.

#7 City Girl (8-1) is the third Chad Brown trainee and she exits a nice win in the G3 Beaugay. She has tactical speed and Friday’s rider Irad Ortiz, Jr. guided her home March 29.

#9 Gezora (3-1) was 13th of 17 in the G1 Arc last year and her overseas form before that was strong. She won back-to-back turf races in May (G2) and June (G1), and was 2nd in a G1 at 12T on soft ground in August. After the Arc, she shipped to DMR and smartly captured the G1 BC F&M Turf at 11T November 2025. Chad Brown took over the training duties and she landed the place behind as the beaten favorite in the G3 Modesty at 9T May 1. I doubt that she was fully cranked to win a G3 off the bench last time, and she will need to run better to threaten her stablemates.
