Secondary – #10 Amplitude, #4 Henry Adams

Horse Comments:

#7 Call Me Sir (4-1) added blinkers and stalked and scored vs. CA-bred MSW foes at 8T last fall and the 2-3 finishers were next-out winners. He made his first start since December 2024 and his second start as a gelding in a $40k claiming turf route on 8-31-25, and he stalked the pace and missed by a neck (first lasix). He finished an even fourth at SA on 10-18-25 (placed third through disqualification). He broke from an outer post and finished 6th of 9 (beaten 4.75 lengths) on 11-23-25, and he returned in a week and rallied to miss by a nose. I made him my second choice in the Unusual Heat Turf Classic at 9T in his first start of the year on Jan. 17 and he stalked the pace and split an 8-horse field in an even effort at 8-1 odds. He was second at 8T on March 1 and tallied as my top choice in an OC-20k affair at 8T April 4. He had an uncomfortable start and was 5th of 7 when last seen in the Crystal Water at 8T May 23 (show finisher next-out winner). He goes back on lasix and sports two local works for this, and he projects a stalking trip under his winning rider Kazushi Kimura. He missed by a nose in a local CA-bred OC-20k/1x turf route last fall.

#1 News At Ten (5-1) was claimed out of a runner-up finish at 6T March 22, and he dueled and was a close third at 6T May 3. He stretched out to a mile and wired the field as the 3-2 favorite June 7, and he turned back, had early trouble, and finished 6th of 8 at 6T May 22. Armando Ayuso is his new rider and he will probably try to make the running from the inside post.

#10 Amplitude (12-1) earned a decent late pace rating in a closing victory at 9T May 24. Joel Rosario got acquainted with him last time and John Sadler’s sharp gelding graduated at this distance in 2024.

#4 Henry Adams (6-1) hit the board in two of his last four starts at the OC-80k/2x level. He drops in class and is entered for the $50k tag, and he fired a local 5f bullet for this July 17.
