Check out my Sunday (8-8-26) Del Mar Race 6 analysis below.

DMR 6 (G3 Sorrento, 6f) – Post Time 7:40 PM ET
Primary – #4 RUIVA, #5 Holmby
Secondary – #1 Dash

Horse Comments:

#4 Ruiva (7-5) romped by 7 lengths in her 4.5f debut in the slop at CD in April (runner-up next-out winner), and she shipped to Ascot and finished 3rd of 27 in the G2 Queen Mary at 5T in June (runner-up next-out winner). Wesley Ward’s filly shows four KEE works for this.

#5 Holmby (8-5) was 5-2 in her local 5f bow July 18 and she dueled and scored by 2 1/4 lengths. She is a logical early-pressing contender for Juan Hernandez and Bob Baffert.

#1 Dash (6-1) was 11-1 in the local Holmby MSW affair last month and she messed up the break and ran on to finish a respectable 4th of 7 (beaten 7.75 lengths). She had a fast local 4f gate work Aug. 2 (2nd best of 93).
