#9 Rina’s Revenge (10-1) cuts back in distance and drops out of the state bred stakes ranks. She adds lasix for Ken McPeek, and she rallied to graduate by 4 3/4 lengths under Javier Castellano in a local state bred MSW dirt sprint last summer. She is 0-for-4 with a distant second in the stakes ranks and 2-for-2 in non-stakes races.
#5 Braverthanubelieve (2-1) won both dirt sprints at AQU last year and this is her first start in more than nine months. She shows a pair of local moves for this including a half-mile bullet Aug. 24.
#2 Grace and Grit (6-1) finished in the top three in all six starts since moving to the Amelia Green barn. She rallied for the place June 5, went last-to-first at this distance July 4, and finished second to romping winner Hot Currency Aug. 2 (slow early/fast late). All three of those races were at SAR and she will try to get involved late under her new pilot Manny Franco.
#1 Kay Cup (4-1) won two dirt sprints as the favorite last year including the local Bouwerie. She was second and fourth as the beaten chalk in her last two starts as the favorite nd added blinkers when last seen December 2025. She has been working at Saratoga since May and has 13 published works overall.
