#8 Bonafide (4-1) moved to the Robert Mosco barn and wired the field in a local flat mile race May 11. He was 4th of 6 June 9 and ended up a clear second as the chalk July 8. He set a pressured pace and was a clear third behind a romping winner at Penn National July 22. He returns to Parx and turns back in distance, and he should be forwardly placed under his winning rider Mychel Sanchez. Mosco is a profitable 26% with this type of short layoff runner.
#7 Party With Smarty (5-1) shipped from LRL to PRX and stalked wide and scored by 2 1/2 lengths in a local dirt route as the favorite June 29 (runner-up next-out winner). His new rider Ruben Silvera is 3-for-9 with Jamie Ness and he is sharp enough to turn back and win again.
#2 Jesse (7-2) was 10-1 in his local 6.5f bow July 21 and he stalked and romped by 6 3/4 lengths, and the runner-up was a next-out winner. He was 3-1 second time out and he dueled, got clear, and prevailed by a head. He ran faster second time out and should be forwardly placed for a productive jockey-trainer team.
#6 Shallus (9-2) was part of the trifecta in 7 of his last 9 starts. He finished in front of Bonafide at Parx July 22 and was a distant third at Penn National Aug. 18. I like him more underneath.
