Horse Comments:
#5 Bob’s Carrot (5-2) finished in the top three in his last five starts. He wired the field at this course/distance May 21, and he went all the way again in the slop at Ellis Park July 11. He dueled and was best of the rest in third Aug. 16. This is his third start off a short layoff and he might be the one to catch.
#2 Remi’s Moon (2-1) finished out of the trifecta in all three turf starts since Joe Sharp claimed him on May 10. The last time he raced on dirt, he aired by 7 1/2 lengths in a $25k extended sprint. He likes this course (4 2-1-0) and distance (5 2-1-1), and his new rider Jose Ortiz is a profitable 17% with this outfit.
#4 Trouble Time (4-1) might move forward in his third start of the year. He competed once on the main track under the Twin Spires and he won that debut race by 3 lengths last September. Tyler Gaffalione is his new pilot and he drilled a 4f bullet for this at Ellis Park Sept. 9.
#7 Mo Work (8-1) exceeded the winning par for this in a clear runner-up finish in a clear runner-up finish at Colonial Downs on Aug. 28. He hit the board in his last three starts and has won at this course and distance before.
