Check out my Sunday (10-4-26) Santa Anita Park Race 7 analysis below.
SA 7 (MSW, 6f) – Post Time 7:06 PM ET
Primary – #3 WELL VERSED, #8 Weho
Secondary – #9 Prospect of Love, #5 Lucille B
Horse Comments:
#3 Well Versed (2-1) finished 5+ lengths behind Miss Monica in her MSW bow and she was 10+ lengths clear of the rest. She hooked Miss Monica again in the G1 Del Mar Debutante, and she could not keep pace with her talented rival and was beaten 10 lengths. She reconnects with her debut pilot Mike Smith and is back with maiden friends.
#8 Weho (5-2) is a $200k Yaupon filly and her sire is 20% with debut runners. Dam has produced three winners from five starters and she shows three local moves for this including a relatively fast 5f gate drill Sept. 18 (2nd best of 27). Joel Rosario wins races with John Sadler and she could easily be a runner.
#9 Prospect of Love (7-2) was 2-1 from the inside post in her 6f bow and she stumbled at the start and ran on for the place behind her romping stablemate Quattro Passi that day, and the latter returned to finish third as the beaten favorite in the G2 Oak Leaf on Saturday.
#5 Lucille B (8-1) was 9-1 in her dirt sprint bow at DMR and she ended up 6th of 10 in a nice education run. Her new rider Umberto Rispoli is a profitable 29% with Phil D’Amato and she sports three local moves for this including a 5f gate move Sept. 20.
