#2 Amorita (7-5) stalked and scored as my top choice in the Daisycutter at 5T July 25, and she stretched out, battled on the pace, and split an 8-horse field in the Tranquility Lake at one mile on dirt Sept. 5. She returned to turf, set the pace, and missed the place by a neck at 11-1 odds vs. the boys in the G2 Eddie D at this course and distance Sept. 26. Kazushi Kimura sticks with her and she should be forwardly placed.
#6 Rethink (5-1) was part of the trifecta in all five starts since moving to the Phil D’Amato barn. The versatile filly earned better numbers in her last pair, and won twice at SA this year (6T).
#8 Tahini (5-1) won a local 6T affair in June and hit the board in her last two 5T events at DMR. She missed by a nose Sept. 3 and learned to relax in her last pair. She is 1-for-14 at SA and 0-for-3 with a pair of show finishes at 6.5T. She reconnects with Umberto Rispoli and might chase from an outer post.
