#6 Jennys Wine Girl (3-1) dropped into a restricted claimer, added blinkers and pressed and finished 4th of 7 as the beaten favorite Oct. 12. Tim Yakteen is 7-for-16 first after the claim and he is 30% with the blinkers off move. This is her third start off a short layoff and she might control the pace under her new rider Juan Hernandez. The 1-for-11 filly is 0-for-3 with a second and a third at DMR, and 0-for-5 with four underneath finishes at 8T.
#3 Rehearsal (5-2) is 1-for-16 with six place finishes and two show finishes. She stalked the pace and completed the exacta at 8T in April and May, and she stalked and weakened to 8th of 10 in a local turf route when last seen in July. She drops into a restricted claimer and reunites with her winning rider Umberto Rispoli.
#4 Shining River (8-1) stretched out, stalked the pace, and finished a close third at 8T July 30, and she stalked from the outside post and finished 6th of 9 at 8.5T Aug. 27 (beaten 2 1/4 lengths). She was 10-1 on Oct. 9 and made a wide early move before weakening to 7th of 9 (beaten 11 lengths). Her new rider Armando Ayuso is 4-for-8 with Robert Hess Jr. and she can compete for the win if she runs as well as she did on July 30.
#1 Glory’z Clubhouse (8-1) blew the break from post 12 and ran on to finish a respectable fourth in her local Mcl-16k bow July 26 (winner next-out winner). She showed up in a local CA-bred Mcl-50k dirt sprint second time out and sat back and got up late by a half-length. She rallied to finish a clear third behind a runaway winner vs. this kind at SA Oct. 4 (Clm-25k/2L, 5.5f). She adds blinkers and tries a turf route.
