Comments:
#8 Patty Van Twinkle (7-2) was off her game in all three starts since Genaro Garcia claimed her last fall. Two of those were all-weather sprints and her last start at OP produced a pair of next-out winners. She was part of the exacta in all five starts last year and earned quality numbers in all of those races. She has been freshened for this and is a dangerous contender from the outside post if she rediscovers her 2025 form.
#3 Fancy Fascinator (5-2) wired the field in a $30k/3L sprint at TP as the favorite in March and that was her second front running win on all-weather ground. She was 9-2 in a similar local sprint April 21 and she made the running and missed by a length, and she was 5 lengths clear of the show finisher. She owns quality numbers and is probably the one to catch.
#5 Spirited Justice (6-1) was part of the exacta in all five local state bred starts. The sophomore filly adds lasix and this is her first start since October 2025. She owns early-pressing versatility and Luis Contreras sticks with her.
#4 Fat Chance (4-1) split a 12-horse field from the outside post April 7 and the runner-up was a next-out winner. That was her first start in almost five months and she has a good overall local record (8 3-2-0).
