#3 Tirupati (7-2) scratched out of the Lady Jacqueline on dirt on the Ohio Derby undercard June 20, and she breezed a half-mile at TP that day. She also defected from the Anchorage at CD June 27, and she worked a half-mile at TP that day. She was the favorite in a turf route at Ellis Park on July 5 and rallied to miss by a half-length. This is her second start off a short layoff and Luis Saez is her new rider.
#5 Marketplaceofideas (8-1) was part of the trifecta in 4 of 5 turf routes. She won her last two starts and the runner-up from her June 6 race was a next-out winner. Dylan Davis is 2-for-2 with her and she is 1-for-1 at SAR. She is getting faster and a stalking trip is expected.
#6 Brisbane (5-2) finished in the top three in 6 of 7 starts (3 wins). She won her first start in this country in 2024, and she missed all of 2025 and was fourth in her much needed return in the Miss Liberty May 30. She rallied to finish a close third vs. this kind at this course and distance July 9 and this is her third start off a long layoff. Flavien Prat takes the call and she will try to get involved from off the pace.
#1 Ashikidah (2-1) returned from a layoff of 8+ months and rallied from the outside post to split an 8-horse field at 8T July 9 and she ended up a neck behind Brisbane that day. She might show a bit more in her second start in this country.
