Check out my Monday (10-5-26) Presque Isle Race 6 analysis below.
PID 6 (MSW-31k, 3&up, 1 mile 70 yards all-weather) – Post Time 5:45 PM ET
Primary – #5 MOBIUS, #6 Peak Performer
Secondary – #4 Minotaur
Scratches (race 6): #2 – Carnival Lad, #3 – Bestball
Updated Contenders and Tickets After Scratches:
Horse Comments:
#5 Mobius (7-2) was less than even money in his local sprint bow and he stalked the pace and finished a clear third. Michael Stidham is a profitable 23% with horses adding blinkers for the first time, and his new rider Gaddiel Martinez is a 22% local pilot. The Uncle Mo colt tries a route of ground in his second lifetime start.
#6 Peak Performer (5-2) completed the exacta in five of his last six starts for Shug McGaughey. He missed by a head as the heavy favorite at this course and distance when last seen June 29, and it was more than 10 lengths back to the rest in that 4-horse affair. This is his first start as a gelding.
#4 Minotaur (3-1) was out of the trifecta in all four turf routes, and he earned numbers good enough to win this in March and July.
