#2 Cougar Cocktail (3-1) won her first two turf sprints at LRL last year. She returned from a layoff of more than eight months in a turf sprint at CNL, and she chased outside, led, and missed by a neck as the favorite July 24 (show finisher next-out winner). Britany Russell is 3-for-6 with a pair of show finishes at PID, and 24% local rider Israel Rodriguez takes the call. Her running style versatility should serve her well in this spot, and she drilled a 3f Fair Hill bullet for this on Sept. 19.
#6 Wherever We Are (4-1) is a 6-time local winner with four victories at this distance. The versatile filly won her last three local sprints including a closing victory at this distance on Sept. 29 under Walber Alencar.
#4 Mitole Magic (5-2) battled on the pace before weakening to 5th of 8 in the G2 Presque Isle Masters Sept. 18 (beaten 4.5 lengths). The early-pressing filly has a good overall record at this course (14 3-3-4) and distance (12 4-3-2).
#7 Smooch Up (7-2) is 4-for-5 with a show finish at PID. She won two of her last four stakes starts, and she adds Lasix for her new trainer Matthew Kintz. She dusted a pair of next-out winners in the local Malvern Rose at 6.5f June 22, and that was her first start since November 2025. She was third as the 1-2 favorite in the Lady Erie July 20. Her winning rider Antonio Gallardo sticks, and she will probably stalk the pace while out in the clear.
