Check out my Thursday (12-12-24) Gulfstream Park Race 6 analysis below.
GP 6 (OC-20k/1x, Florida-bred, 1 1/16 miles all-weather) – Post Time 3:00 PM ET
Primary – #6 ASHIMA, #3 Rachels Song
Secondary – #1 Parallel, #7 Southern Palace
Horse Comments:
#6 Ashima (3-1) exits back-to-back easy all-weather route wins at Gulfstream vs. $8k claimers. She was claimed out of her last two starts and Sal Santoro has her now. Her winning rider Emisael Jaramillo stays put and she is sharp enough to step up and play ball with these.
#3 Rachels Song (8-5) was part of the trifecta in her last six starts. She does some of her best work in local all-weather routes (5 3-1-1), and the sharp filly owns early-pressing versatility.
#1 Parallel (2-1) stalked and scored in a slow early/fast late $35,000 claiming turf route as the favorite Oct. 4. Turf is her preferred footing. She is 0-for-4 with a pair of underneath finishes on all-weather ground.
#7 Southern Palace (8-1) removes blinkers, stretches back out, and reconnects with her winning rider Drayden Van Dyke. She graduated in a local all-weather route.
Wagers:
