Check out my Monday (2-2-26) Turf Paradise Race 3 analysis below.
TUP 3 (Clm-6250k, 4&up, 8T) – Post Time 4:11 PM ET
Primary – #6 CANE CREEK ROAD, #4 Shut Up Michael
Secondary – #2 Rodeo Champ, #9 Shot of a Lifetime
Horse Comments:
#6 Cane Creek Road (7-2) drops in class, stretches back out, and returns to turf. The 8-year-old gelding has a decent overall record at this distance on turf (14 3-3-2) and should make his presence felt from the outset under +ROI 21% turf rider Orlando Mojica.
#4 Shut Up Michael (5-2) drops in class and should attend the pace under Daniel Vergara. He landed the place in back-to-back $15k turf races on Nov. 28 and Dec. 17, and he dueled from the rail and weakened to 5th of 9 at 7.5T Dec. 31 (OC-16k/1x).
#2 Rodeo Champ (9-2) earned the best last-race number in a local $8k turf route show finish on Jan. 12. Karlo Lopez got to know him last time and he figures to save ground chasing the pace.
#9 Shot of a Lifetime (6-1) returned from a long layoff and rallied for the show in a local $8k affair at 8T Dec. 22 and winner For a Laugh (IRE) clicked right back Jan. 12. The 11-year-old gelding might rally for a share.
