Check out my Sunday (7-19-26) Del Mar Racetrack Race 10 analysis below.
DMR 10 (Str-OC-50k, 7f) – Post Time 9:40 PM ET
Primary – #6 CRUISIN FOR CALI, #3 Chapter One
Secondary – #5 Letmein, #4 Palmer Beach
Horse Comments:
#6 Cruisin for Cali (5-2) returned to dirt, turned back, and finished in a dead heat for the place May 17 and Thirty Two Chunk was a next-out winner. Mike Puype claimed him last time and he graduated by 4 1/2 lengths at this distance at SA March 22. His new rider Juan Hernandez is 28% in sprint races.
#3 Chapter One (7-2) added blinkers, turned back, switched surfaces, and aired by 10 lengths in a Mcl-20k dirt sprint as the favorite June 15. He exceeded the winning par for this last time and might be able to make it two straight.
#5 Letmein (4-1) improved in his second start of the year in a rallying place finish at 6f June 14. He completed the exacta in two of four local starts and might move up in his second start off a short layoff.
#4 Palmer Beach (8-1) was part of the trifecta in his last three starts and paired-up competitive numbers in both starts since the Sean Williams claim. He finished 1 1/4 lengths behind Letmein June 14 and this is his second start off a short layoff.
