Horse Comments:
#1 Going Up (7-2) was part of the exacta in the last three starts of his 2025 campaign, This is his first start in almost nine months. He likes this course and distance and Wayne Potts is 20% with this type of layoff runner. The inside post is clicking at a 30% rate at the current stand.
#4 Shadow Factor (9-2) has a recency edge over his main rivals. He won two of his last three starts including a sharp victory by 2 1/2 lengths vs. PA-bred OC-25k/1x foes as the favorite July 13. He has stuck four times at this course and distance.
#5 John Dutton (8-1) has been out of action since December 2025. He traded decisions with Going Up in a pair of local sprints last fall. He should be right up on the pace.
#6 Souper Forces (3-1) rallied to win his local debut at 6f last summer, and he captured his next two starts including the Showing Up at 8.5T. He raced wide from post 10 and ended up 6th when last seen in the Tropical Park Derby December 2025. He might be tuning up for a turf route.
