#2 She’s No Quant (3-1) finished third in her first two turf sprints and she won all three starts since. She stalked and graduated at 6T as the favorite May 22 and clicked right back in a state bred OC-20k/1x turf sprint as the 1-2 chalk June 12. She moved to dirt and stalked and scored at 4-1 odds as my top choice in the Fleet Treat at 7f July 24. Edward Freeman is 24% with his first route starters and her new rider Antonio Fresu is 1-for-2 with this outfit.
#3 Rabeeba (8-5) was all over the pace in both wins to begin her promising career. She wired the field in her 6.5f bow and dueled and scored at this course and distance second time out. Juan Hernandez hops aboard and he chose this one over She’s No Quant, but that was expected since he is Bob Baffert’s main rider. She earned an improved number second time out and should be right up on the pace.
#1 Bank Shot (10-1) is 1-for-9 with six minor awards and she has placed in four dirt route stakes. She was overmatched in the G1 Clement L. Hirsch last time so I will just draw a line through that race. This is her preferred distance (4 1-1-2) and figures to save ground behind the speed, and she can get a piece of this at a price.
