Check out my Wednesday (10-23-24) Keeneland Race 6 analysis below.

KEE 6 (OC-125k/2x, 3yo fillies, 1 1/8 miles dirt) – Post Time 3:40 PM ET
Primary – #3 NEON ICON, #6 Landed
Secondary – #5 Intricate, #9 Audacious, #11 Musical Note

Horse Comments:

#3 Neon Icon (5-1) won her first two dirt routes including a sharp local maiden win in her career debut April 17. She had lasix in those two races, and lost that medication and misfired in her last three stakes starts. She drops in class and goes back on lasix, and the $200k Arrogate filly figures to stalk the pace at a hint of a price under her new rider Jose Ortiz.

#6 Landed (7-2) won her last three starts for Wesley Ward. She exits back-to-back prominent throughout wins in the New York-bred stakes ranks and she controlled the pace and handled this distance in the Fleet Indian Aug. 25. She goes back on lasix and she wired the field in her lone start with that medication in a local optional-claiming dirt route in the spring. They paid $500k for the early-pressing daughter of Omaha Beach and her winning rider John Velazquez shows a profit in route races.

#5 Intricate (3-1) graduated in a local dirt route last fall, and she beat Thorpedo Anna in the Golden Rod (G2) in her first start vs. winners. She was second in the Rachel Alexandra (G2) Feb. 17 and ran 5th of 6 (beaten 11 lengths) in the FG Oaks (G2) March 23. She got some time off and returned with a runner-up finish in the Monomoy Girl June 15, and was a clear 3rd of 4 behind romping winner Thorpedo Anna in the CCAO (G1) July 20. She was 5th of 8 (beaten 9 3/4 lengths) when last seen in the Alabama (G1), and she drops in class and adds lasix. Her regular rider Tyler Gaffalione shows a profit with Brendan Walsh recently and she will try to get involved from off the pace.

#9 Audacious (6-1) stalked and scored in her extended sprint bow at Saratoga June 6, and pressed and weakened in the mud at seven panels second time out. She stretched out, stalked slow fractions, and got back on the winning track in a dirt route at Laurel Park Sept. 14. Luis Saez hops aboard Todd Pletcher’s $700k Into Mischief filly and a stalking trip is expected.

#11 Musical Note (8-1) is 2-for-3 for Brad Cox and her new rider Flavien Prat is 9-for-15 with this outfit recently. She switched to dirt and easily won a slow early/fast late flat mile allowance race as the favorite at Horseshoe Indy Aug. 24.
